We have training/kick about organised for Sunday 6th June. I want everyone down as I am planning a match for the following Sunday between the two sides. After the match we will have a break for around 3-4 weeks (which should coincide nicely with Euro 2004).
The costing for the match could be higher than normal as so far the lowest quote I have had for a pitch is TWICE as much as I normally pay. Hopefully I will be able to get this down over the next week. I will also be calling every player this week to get answers on several topics:
* Are you DEFINATLY playing for O'Neills next season?
* Are you able to attend the after match drink at O'Neills pub in Sutton? We usually meet in there at 4pm and have sandwiches laid on and the M.O.M gets a free bar tab (value to be decided, but will be at least £7.50).
* Are you able to pay the club signing on fee by the deadline?
* Which days during the week are you available to train on?
* Do you drive, and will you be bringing your car to matches?
* Will you be attending our end of season do on Friday 11th June. Starting at 8ish and ending when we fall over...
Signing on fee deadline is July 1st, one month away. I need the money in by then as the process for getting a new kit takes two months and the new season is due to start in September. I require the money in so I then know, for definate, how many players I have. I will then order, at least, one new kit for the coming season.
