On Sunday I, drunkenly, made a couple of bets...
I think this is a summery of them-
* Ian:
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season.
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season, minus the points won in the two O'Neills Vs Mitcham fixtures.
£20 that Mitcham will keep more clean sheets than O'Neills this season.
* Bill:
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season.
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season, minus the points won in the two O'Neills Vs Mitcham fixtures.
* Dan:
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season.
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season, minus the points won in the two O'Neills Vs Mitcham fixtures.
* Jim:
£20 that Mitcham will finish above O'Neills in the league this season.
I think that was all. If I have forgotten any, or miss remembered any post here to remind me.

you bet me £100 that spurs would win the league £225.50 that your defence is better than ours and £2.75 that you wouldnt mention the fact your lousy team has had two clean sheets in a row more than 10 times(you lost that bet after 30 mins)

Jim, I've added our bet to the list above. Marsh, that means you owe me £225.50, I'll give you £102.75 out of it as Spurs will finish 2nd this year, not top and there is no way I'll ever stop mentioning our two clean sheets... I'll take cash or barers bonds, but I wont take a cheque without a guarentee card.

you also bet me 47,000 rupees that you would be able to carry on bumming your 14 year old striker and get away with it,without Simon getting jealous

just to re iterate what i have already spoken to you about ages ago, we agreed on 2 bets and not the one re clean sheets. I thought it might be a good idea to put this in writing before we get too far down the line and anyones memory becomes unclear.

As for the rest... O'Neills are currently 7 points clear of Mitcham, with only 2 games remaining for us. Congrats as some of u have won money, and two more wins for O'Neills will ensuer u finish at least 6 points above Mitcham, winning the rest of the bets. Congrats, I'll start to save my pennies... Beware for next season tho!!!

Does this mean no more of our opposition can expect anonymous phone calls accusing us of playing ringers? management1

Does this mean no more of our opposition can expect anonymous phone calls accusing us of playing ringers? management1 I heard they had played ringers so I told them u were to make sure they did the card check and therefore they weren't able to play any ringers themselves. I know O'Neills don't cos I have seen all the cards (duh...).

You could have just told me you thought they were playing ringers and i could have asked them for a card check. Would that not have been easier? (anyone feel free to disagree with me on this!) It put us in a position where one player who i knew was ok to play as i asked phil childs prior to the game but didn't have his card (you did) was unable to produce it so the chavs got upset and after being told we were playing ringers and didn't have a crad for a player were extremely hostile and upset and obviously would try and claim we had played a ringer. Your excuse while plausable is in fact complete bollocks! (again if anyone disagrees please feel free to chip in.) management1

Your excuse while plausable is in fact complete bollocks! (again if anyone disagrees please feel free to chip in.) management1 As far as I'm aware u do card checks anyway. We did them every game last season and I got at least one game over turned because of it. Therefore I would assume u still do them? And therefore there was no need to tell u. I was told they were occasionally playing ringers, and, knowing them to be one of the nastiest teams in the league, didn't want them to kick off when u asked for a card check and they couldnt produce the cards. The best way to make sure they had their cards and didnt play a ringer was to tell them u did have one. I knew u had the cards so I knew it wasn't a problem (ok, I forgot about Mark), I just made sure they had their cards and they played registered players against u. The last thing I wanted was for u to be given 3 points due to Clapham playing a ringer. I wanted u to have to earn the points, which u did.

Lets be honest. Do I need an excuse? At the end of the day it's my club, and if I decide to call a card check then I will.
Lets not blur the lines here. If I choose to do something with MY club I will. I chose to explain myself, wont bother next time.

Don't want to get into the politics of this too much but the lines are already blurred when our chief director (or whatever we call you Daryll) is playing for another team in the same league. Then for some reason also starts betting against his own club.....
